Collection: Desert
The desert is not only an expanse of sand but also a metaphor for endurance, scarcity, and fragile resilience. In this exhibition, Alfredo Moreira da Silva presents works that evoke the silent tension of landscapes on the edge of transformation. The desert teaches us to value small details: a single leaf, a drop of water, a spark of life resisting erasure. It represents the struggle against desolation, where survival itself becomes an act of beauty. The theme invites us to reflect on how creativity, like nature, can persist in hostile conditions, finding strength in minimal resources. The desert thus becomes an allegory of persistence and renewal, a stage where fragility and strength meet. It is a reminder that what may appear barren can contain invisible richness, waiting patiently to emerge and flourish.
